For many years this Super Skymaster would conduct beach and shark patrols up and down Victoria's ocean beaches. It was on static display at Avalon airshow in 2007. Shortly after, it appears to have been replaced by a PartenaviaCitabria - Until I did the research for this web page, I thought Citabria was an Italian plane! I have now learned that this is a 1976 American Champion 7ECA Citabria Aurora made in, of course, America. Stressed for 5 positive and 2 negative Gs, the Citabria is aerobatic and, in fact, gets its name by spelling airbatic backwards. We live and learn.
