I spotted this Huey on the apron at Moorabbin last year and my interest was immediately aroused. This was the first short body Huey I had seen in civil hands with my own eyes. Mike Dunn of HeliServe graciously let me take these pics and told me something of the airframe's history. He said it was a veteran of the Vietnam war and that the dings on the inside rear wall were made by shell cases ejected from the door guns. There were also some patched bullet holes on the body. The helo is in remarkable condition, considering its history! HeliServ were looking at repainting it so it may not look like this any more. The aircraft serial number is: 63-8699
