Landrover SWB with Recoilless Rifle Walkaround Gallery

The Australian Army Museum, Bandiana, has an outstanding variety of vehicles in its collection. Here is a short wheel base landrover mounted with a 106 mm M40A2 recoilless rifle. The modifications have been quite extensive including: shortening the rear body, mounting the weapon, providing ammo storage and cutting down front guards. It was common practice for Australian Landrovers serving in Vietnam to have doors, windscreens and tailgates removed for ease of access and maintenance.
