The sign at the front of this vehicle reads: "This vehicle was donated to the Army Museum Bandiana by Land Rover Australia in February 2009. The vehicle was manufactured in 1989 by Land Rover as a LRPV Marketing vehicle for world wide display. Hence the petrol V8 engine and left hand drive. The vehicle was displayed at various military shows world wide over the next two years. It was displayed at the British Motor Heritage Museum at Gaydon before being returned to Australia. It has some similarities to the vehicles used in Afghanistan by Australian Special Forces, but I don't know just how similar the two vehicles are.
