The roundhouse is split pretty much in two, function-wise. Half is a railway museum, the other half is a railway workshop still being run as a commercial concern where locos and rolling stock are serviced and repaired. The museum extends to the original offices of the roundhouse where an excellent display of railroad memorabilia is on show, including a very nice model railroad with a cute spotters list of curiosities to look for on the layout. Housed in the roundhouse itself is a collection of locos and rolling stock, including steam locos, diesel-electrics and various carriages. Two of the rolling stock highlights for me were the original Post Master General mail carriage (an official Post Office on the move) and the WWII era steam crane left here when the Yanks went home. You can walk through most of the carriages and admire the beautiful woodwork and even see inside a couple of the locos.
