The Melbourne Tram Museum is located in the old Hawthorn Tram Depot. It is well run by an enthusiastic group of volunteers. The trams are all very well displayed and in excellent condition. There is also a fastinating set of displays showing the history of trams in Melbourne and how the system has been run over the years. You can wander through all of the trams on display, too. Be prepared for bell ringing competitions when school groups come through, though! I highly reccommend a visit.
