$29.95

Cessna O-2A c/n 67-21407 VH-OII
“407” was built in 1967 and was flown across the Pacific Ocean for service in Vietnam in August of that year. It served at Pleiku in the Forward Air Control role and suffered damage from enemy fire many times during its service there. After being retired from the USAF in 1980, it was stored at “The Boneyard”, Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, for 14 years before being restored and placed on the US civil register in 1994. In August 2000, David Lowy purchased 21407 and donated it to the Temora Aviation Museum. It has since been repainted to resemble “Jade 07”, an O-2A flown by Australian FAC pilots in direct support of Australian troops in Vietnam.
